Cuban Style Black Beans

Instructions

  1. Soak dry beans in warm–hot water for 4–6 hours or so.
  2. Drain and rinse the beans.
  3. Add the beans, 3 cups of water, and bay leaves to the pressure cooker (Instant Pot) and cook on high for 20 minutes with 20 minutes natural release.
  4. Remove the bay leaves.
  5. Saute onion and garlic with olive oil in a small pot. Then, add onion and garlic to the beans.
  6. Mix in vinegar, salt, sugar, oregano, cumin, and pepper.
